Last month, we were proud to once again sponsor the Rotary Club of Crowborough’s annual Charity Golf Day at Crowborough Beacon Golf Club, while also volunteering our time to help support the event on the day.

As a proud Business Partner of Crowborough Rotary, supporting local charities and community projects is an important part of who we are. The Charity Golf Day is one of the club’s flagship fundraising events, bringing together local businesses, supporters and golfers to raise funds for worthy causes while strengthening connections across the community.

The event, hosted as the Rotary Club’s 6th annual Charity Golf Day, welcomed teams of golfers and highlighted the generosity and community spirit that continues to grow year after year. Set against the stunning backdrop of Crowborough Beacon Golf Club, it provided the perfect setting for a day of friendly competition, networking and fundraising in support of a meaningful cause.

This year’s event supported Taylor-Made Dreams, a remarkable charity dedicated to helping children with life-limiting illnesses and their families. The charity provides vital support, creates special “bucket list” experiences, and offers practical and emotional help to families during extremely difficult times.

We were also pleased to see the Mayor of Crowborough, Cllr Natalie Whittle in attendance at the dinner and prize giving, reflecting the importance of the event within the local community and the strong support it continues to receive.

A highlight of the day was hearing directly from by Suzi Mitchell, CEO of Taylor Made Dreams who made a deeply moving speech. The charity was founded following the loss of her child, and that personal story continues to shape its mission today. Through ongoing fundraising and regular support from individuals and local businesses, the charity is able to continue delivering essential services to families across Crowborough and the South East.

While sponsorship is important, we believe that supporting local charities and community initiatives goes beyond financial contributions. That is why we were delighted to volunteer our time on the day, working alongside fellow supporters to help ensure everything ran smoothly. Events such as this demonstrate what can be achieved when local organisations, businesses and individuals come together with a shared purpose.

One of the most striking aspects of the day was the atmosphere throughout the course and clubhouse. From golfers taking part with enthusiasm to volunteers and organisers working behind the scenes, there was a real sense of community spirit and shared commitment to making a difference.

We would also like to extend our thanks to Crowborough Beacon Golf Club for their outstanding hospitality and support, which helped the day run seamlessly and provided an excellent setting for the event.

Special thanks go to Gibson Blanc Photography for capturing many moments of the day and for his continued support and involvement. The generosity of local businesses and professionals plays a key role in ensuring events like this continue to thrive year after year. We were also very grateful to Claire Hayden from HAYDENSWAN Eyecare for her company and support on the day.

The success of the Charity Golf Day is a testament to the dedication of the Rotary Club of Crowborough and everyone involved in organising and supporting it. Their commitment ensures that vital funds continue to be raised for charities that make a real difference in people’s lives.

As a returning sponsor and Business Partner, it was rewarding to support the event once again alongside so many others who share a commitment to the local community. We would like to thank all participants, volunteers, sponsors and supporters for their contribution to a highly successful day. Their combined efforts helped raise vital funds for a charity that provides essential support to children and families when they need it most.

We are delighted to have been involved once again and look forward to supporting the Rotary Club of Crowborough Charity Golf Day, along with other local fundraising and community initiatives, in the future.
