Making a Difference Beyond the Legal Work We Do

Community runs at the very heart of our business. We believe that the responsibility of any law firm extends far beyond just providing legal services - it includes supporting the people, causes, and organisations that strengthen the communities around us.

That’s why we proudly invest our time, resources, and expertise into charities and organisations that create real, positive impact.

Here are a few that we currently support:

The Good Company People
A local charity dedicated to reducing loneliness and social isolation among older people. Their work provides companionship, activities and dementia-friendly clubs, helping people feel more confident, connected and valued.

With a focus on people over 65 and their carers, The Good Company People create welcoming spaces where friendships can flourish and communities grow stronger. Supporting this charity helps people to live happier, more fulfilling lives for longer.

We are proud to support The Good Company People by offering free informal talks on Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), helping to provide useful information and practical guidance to older people and their families.

Befriended
A local charity based in Ditchling, dedicated to reducing loneliness and isolation among older people living across Mid Sussex, with its community hub based in Ditchling.

Care, compassion and a strong sense of community are at the heart of both organisations. We are proud to support Befriended, whose work makes such a positive difference to older people across the local community.

Next year will be a special year for both organisations, as Claire Nash Solicitors and Befriended will each be celebrating their 10th anniversaries.

Nkuringo Foundation
While much of our community work is focused locally, we are also pleased to support international charitable initiatives through the Nkuringo Foundation. The Foundation works with communities in Uganda to improve access to education, healthcare, conservation and sustainable development opportunities.

Through our support, CNS sponsors the education of two young girls, helping to provide opportunities that may otherwise not be available to them.Supporting organisations such as the Nkuringo Foundation enables us to contribute to positive change beyond our local communities and reflects our belief that responsible businesses can make a difference wherever there is need.

Dementia Friends
We are committed to becoming a more dementia aware firm and
are proud to support Dementia Friendly initiatives, which help
create communities where people living with dementia feel
understood, included, and supported.

These programmes raise awareness, provide training, and encourage local organisations to adapt their services so that those affected can continue to live well and independently.

By backing Dementia Friendly work, we contribute to building compassionate environments that reduce isolation, promote dignity, and ensure that everyone can remain active and valued in their community.

All Rise!
Another organisation we are proud to support is All Rise!, which delivers educational workshops in schools, helping children understand the law and see a career in law as an option, regardless of their background.

Their focus on empowerment, education and personal development closely aligns with our own values and commitment to supporting our communities

We are delighted to have funded four workshops across three local schools, giving 117 children the opportunity to experience the law in an engaging and memorable way.

Rotherfield St Martin
A local charity based in Rotherfield, East Sussex, dedicated to supporting older people in the local community through friendship, wellbeing activities and practical support.

We are proud to support RSM through a range of events and initiatives that help raise awareness, share knowledge and bring the local community together.

Our work with RSM has included a collaborative charity art project involving members of the RSM Art Club and Claire Nash Solicitors, sponsorship of the RSM Dementia Experience Bus, free informal talks on Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs), and ongoing Dementia Awareness Training delivered by the organisation.
